Never before has turning out the lights been so much fun!

How it all began...

What started out as hand painted Christmas presents for my 10 nieces and nephews in 1989, soon became a "must have" gift for each new baby and many family friends. The kids all loved the glowing designs and helped some conquer their fear of the dark!

For the next few years I continued to design and hand paint pillowcases when I wasn't at my "day job".

Finally, in 1994, I decided to create my own company and began Comfy Cozy, inc. with my sister, Clare (without her hard work this business would never have gotten off the ground). At that time we started hand screen printing our designs. This process makes the designs soft to the touch, machine washable, consistent high quality and durable enough to last a lifetime.

My objectives have always been to:
* create designs that motivate and inspire kids & adults
* help little ones to not be afraid of the dark
* turn everyday items into exciting gifts for today
and a keepsake to be cherished for years to come.

Over the years we have had a great time creating new designs and products. Our pillowcases have been sold for 10 years in Femail Creations catalog, a couple years in SkyMall magazine and the recently launched Barefoot Parties. In addition to our Comfy Cozy line, we have created Custom Designs (visit our other site:  glowfxdesigns.com ) for businesses and organization throughout the country.

 Now a little background...I was born & raised in St. Albans, West Virginia. Graduated from the University of Tennessee (Go Vols!) with a Degree in Merchandising. I then became a Children's Buyer for Dillard Department Store in Little Rock, AR. From there I moved to St. Louis, MO and spent 5 years as National Sales Manager for Wee Ones, Inc., Children's Accessories. Since 1995, I have been in eastern Pennsylvania.

I could never have succeeded as an entrepreneur without the support of my wonderful husband Scott, loving parents and family. They have encouraged me to follow my dream and keep the faith! Being a WAHM (work at home mom) has enabled me to "be there" every minute for my 2 sons. I thank everyone that makes that gift possible.
